François Veltz, Industrial Property Counsel
François Veltz is an Industrial Property Attorney registered on the list of persons qualified in industrial property. He is a registered representative before the French Patent Office, namely National Institute of Industrial Property (I.N.P.I.). He is an engineer by training, a graduate of CEIPI, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and also an MBA from the IAE of Paris (Sorbonne).
After an experience in a start-up from INRIA developing an image search engine, from 2006, he works as a Counsel in the intellectual property departments of several large groups, world leaders respectively in computer science (IBM) and pharmacy/diagnostics (ROCHE).
In 2009, with his technical partner and friend Kim Gerdes, he designed the legal aspect of Cloem, a project still active today. From 2013 to 2020, François Veltz practiced the regulated profession of Industrial Property Attorney, drafting more than 150 patent applications and handling hundreds of patent examination procedures.
